WHOLEHEARTED MINISTRIES

Becoming who God created me to be

…one step at a time.

Since we live by the Spirit, Let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

Who We are

We are the Gerdes Family. Together, we serve through Wholehearted Ministries with a passion for helping people become who God created them to be—one step at a time.

Tim is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and a commissioned evangelist with nearly 30 years of pastoral ministry experience, serving as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and lead pastor. He has a heart for sharing the hope of Christ and helping churches experience renewal and deeper connection.

Pam is a licensed mental health therapist and a co-evangelist with Tim. She has also served as a Children’s Pastor, District Children’s Ministry Director, and District Kids’ Camp Director. Her passion is helping people experience healing, growth, and wholeness through the love and grace of God.

Our daughters, Elaina and Yadi, are an important part of our ministry journey. They serve alongside us through music, sharing their gifts through worship and helping create moments where people can experience the joy and presence of God. Their willingness to use their talents, creativity, and hearts for others is a beautiful reminder that every person has a place in God’s story.

Together, we combine ministry experience, counseling insight, and a love for people to encourage individuals, families, and churches in their journey toward deeper faith and healthier relationships.

Why We Do This

Over the years, God has allowed us to serve in many different areas of ministry, and through those experiences we have seen one thing repeatedly: people are longing to be known, loved, and connected. Many people are carrying hurts, struggles, questions, and burdens that are often hidden beneath the surface. Yet we believe God’s desire is not for people to simply survive, but to experience the abundant life and purpose He created them for.

Wholehearted Ministries was born out of a passion to help people discover their identity in Christ, find healing from the things that have wounded them, and develop healthy relationships with God and others. We believe the church is at its strongest when it is a place where people are seen, valued, cared for, and encouraged to grow in their faith and relationships.

Our heart is to come alongside pastors and churches as partners in ministry. We do not see ourselves as coming to “do ministry”, but as joining hands with pastors and congregations to strengthen, encourage, and support what God is already doing. Whether through a spiritual renewal weekend, a workshop, a camp or retreat, or an outreach event, our desire is to help people take their next step toward becoming who God created them to be—one step at a time.

We offer several ways to partner together

Spiritual Renewal Weekend

We offer spiritual renewal services Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday morning focused on helping people begin, grow, and thrive in their relationship with God. Through biblical teaching, personal stories, and practical application, we encourage individuals and families to become rooted in Christ and take their next step in their walk with Him.

As part of this spiritual renewal weekend, we offer relationship and healing seminars that can be held on Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon (depending on what works best for the church). These interactive seminars are designed to help individuals and families grow in their relationships with God and one another. Topics include building healthy relationships, communication, forgiveness, healing from hurts, emotional health, and creating a culture of connection within the church.

Many of our seminars are accompanied by books and resources that allow participants to continue the conversation and growth beyond the event. Resources include Created for Connection, which explores how God created us for meaningful relationships, and Hurt by People, Held by God, which walks through the journey of finding healing from relational and spiritual wounds.

Community Outreach Weekend

We love helping churches reach beyond their walls and create opportunities for people in their communities to experience the love of Christ.

A Community Outreach Weekend can include a Friday evening Gospel “Magic” Show, where biblical truths are shared through interactive illusions and storytelling. The church can combine this with food, games, bounce houses, or other activities that create a welcoming environment for families and neighbors.

On Saturday, we offer practical seminars focused on healthy relationships and personal growth, including topics such as communication, conflict resolution, emotional health, forgiveness, strengthening families, and building stronger connections within the church and community.

Children and Family Ministry

We also love partnering with churches through children’s events, camps, family services, and outreach opportunities. Our goal is to help children discover who they are in Christ and help families grow together in faith.

Additional Ways We Serve

• Revival and evangelistic services
• Men’s and women’s ministry events
• Marriage and relationship seminars
• Pastor and church leadership training and support
• Self-care and wellness workshops for pastors and ministry leaders
• Camps and retreats

Everything we do is centered around one desire: to help people have a personal encounter with Jesus that helps them live in the fullness He has for them and to take the next step toward becoming who He created them to be.

We would love the opportunity to partner with you and your church. Our prayer is that through every service, seminar, outreach, and conversation, people would encounter Jesus, experience His healing, and continue becoming who God created them to be—one step at a time.We don’t see ourselves as coming in to do ministry for a church — we see ourselves as joining hands with the local church and serving alongside what God is already doing there.
